Paediatric and Emergency First Aid at Work Courses (level 2 or 3)

 

Course Details

 

Delegates will be trained in the application of Basic First Aid when dealing with an emergency and will be given the knowledge and expertise to respond to an incident where making the right informed decisions are at the core of the Paediatric/Emergency First Aid at Work Course. The course will cover

 

  • What is First Aid

  • Priority of the First Aider

  • Responding to an Incident

  • CPR

  • Bleeding

  • Burns

  • Choking

  • Shock

  • Asthma

  • Regulations

Course Entry Requirements and Assessment

 

Delegates need to be 16yrs of age or above at the start date. No further requirements are needed but you will be expected to carry out some practical training in the form of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and incident management.

 

Delegates are assessed throughout the day with no formal written or practical assessment. Providing candidates demonstrate effective CPR skills and underpinning knowledge they will be awarded a qualification valid for 3 years on the successful completion of 6 hours training.
