About Us

OUR TRAINERS

Our trainers are outstanding First Aid Practitioners, who are experienced predominantly in the Education and Leisure sectors. All of the trainers are First Aid Trainer/Assessors for NUCO Training and the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) and are qualified to provide training in both Adult and Paediatric First Aid, and in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).


Andrew Tippett PGCE, M.Ed (Business Manager/Trainer/Assessor)

Andrew is a qualified teacher and has 30 years of experience as a first aid trainer/assessor. He is particularly interested in working with schools to support their staff to become competent and confident first aiders.


Dr Alison Tippett BSc (Hons), PhD, DipHE (Senior Administrator)

Alison has worked as a Health Care and Professional Council (HCPC) Registered Anaesthetic Practitioner for 16 years and is trained in basic life support, immediate life support and advanced airway management. She has experience of managing unconscious (breathing and non-breathing) anaesthetised patients, anaesthetic emergencies such as anaphylaxis and cardiac arrest, and the use of automated external defibrillators. Furthermore, she has experience of working with patients who have had traumatic limb amputations, fractures and foreign bodies, and she has previously spent time with front line ambulances and the Devon Air Ambulance. Alison is also responsible for training and assessing Healthcare Professionals in clinical practice, and she has been employed as an Associate Clinical Lecturer by the University of Plymouth.


Tom Peonides (Trainer/Assessor)

Tom has been working in first aid for 25 years and has the following first aid qualifications: RLSS UK Trainer Assessor (Pool Lifeguarding); RLSS UK First Aid at Work Instructor; NUCO Training First Aid at Work Instructor and NUCO Training Health and Safety Instructor.


OUR TRAINING VENUE

If you are unable to provide a training room in order to complete your First Aid course, we are able to provide a training venue for up to 12 candidates at Wembury, near the City of Plymouth. This venue provides a relaxed environment in which to learn and has modern facilities, free parking and is close to the local village shop. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require this venue for your course.
